Miami County Administrative Offices - These offices are open to conduct business Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
The following services are located in the Miami County Administration Building:

Appraiser’s Office—For information or business, call 913 294-9311 for real estate or  913 294-3098 for personal property.  Appraisal of all real and personal property, land use and ownership, building information, appraised valuation, tax exemption information and neighborhood revitalization information

Building Inspection—For information and business, call 913 294-4145.   Building permits for new construction, remodeling, enforces building codes and code compliance

County Administrator—For information or business call, 913 294-9500 or email, skrull@miamicountyks.org.  Public representative for County Commissioners is responsible for preparing and administering the annual budget, personnel, county purchasing and commission agendas

County Clerk—Voter Registration:  For information or business, call 913 294-3976. Fish and Game Licenses:  For information or business, call 913 294-3976

County Commission—For information or business, call 913 294-5844.County governing body.  Meetings held on wednesday from 1 p.m. to adjournment

County Counselor—For information or business, call 913 294-3914.  Legal counselor to County Commission and County Departments

Human Resources—For information or business related to Miami County Employment, call 913 294-9530.  Applications, job descriptions, pay plan, benefits and payroll

County Treasurer, (Motor Vehicle):  Vehicle Tags/Driver’s Licenses—For information and business, call 913 294-4164.  Renewal registration, vehicle and manufactured home titles, vehicle license tags and specialty tags, refund of tags and tax money on sold vehicles.  For Driver License information and business, call 913 294-4164. Tuesday through Friday only

County Treasurer (Tax Collections)—For information and business, call 913 294-2353.  Mail and collect taxes and provides tax information.

Economic Development—For information or business, call 913 294-4045. Business development services, tourism and community development services

Engineering—For information and business, call 913 294-9533.  Responsible for professional engineering work in managing  project development, construction of roads, bridges, culverts, sanitary sewer systems and subdivision improvements

Environmental Health (Sanitation) and Household Hazardous Waste—For information and business, call 913 294-4117.  Permitting and inspection of private septic systems and private waters wells, investigation of chemical spills and other environmental hazards and collection of household hazardous waste

LIMO—For information or business, call 913 294-9531.  Offers aerial photography of properties, county district maps, etc.

Register of Deeds—For information or business, call 913 294-3716.  Record land documents and research land ownership

Planning and Zoning (County Planning) - For information and business, call 913 294-9553.  Subdivision regulations, platting, zoning and rezoning, zoning enforcement, flood plain zoning and regulations and land use planning

Noxious Weeds—For information and business, call 913 294-4117.  Spraying and eradication of noxious weeds on public and private property in accordance with state law.  Administers a chemical cost-share program.

Legal Services

District Court - For information and business, call 913 294-3326.  Non-city tickets, small claims, criminal, domestic, child support, civil, probate, juvenile probation, adoptions, care and treatment and marriage licenses. Court Services Officers may be reached by calling 913 294-3151 Location:  Miami County Courthouse, first floor.

Juvenile Intake - For information, please call 913 294-2997. Alternative program designed to divert juveniles at the time of police contact without court intervention.  Juvenile intake and assessment responds to law enforcement requests at the time of policy custody.

County Attorney - For information and business, call 913 294-3181.  Prosecution of felony and misdemeanor crimes, juveniles, children in need, commitment to Osawatomie State Hospital, provide victim witness services.  Location:  Miami County Courthouse, third floor.

Public Works

Road & Bridge - For information and business, call 913 294-4377.  Office hours Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Construction and maintenance of county roads and bridges, weed mowing, grading and repair of roads, dust control treatment, snow removal, signs, etc.  Location:  327th Street and Hospital Drive, Paola (County Shop).

Transfer Station/Recycling Building - For information or business, call 913 294-2674 Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m. till noon.  Disposal of trash and solid waste.  Waste tires, battery salvage, construction and demolition landfill, white goods and steel, metal. Items to be recycled taken at no charge.   Location 327th Street & Hospital Drive, Paola.
